* What is post & ghost social media?
Post & ghost social media is using social media with minimum external engagement.
After posting, the account “ghosts”; there’s no following, liking posts, commenting on posts, responding to posts, answering DMs, and so on.
Similarly, after the person engaging with the content views the post, they also “ghost”; they don’t have to respond in any manner (liking, commenting, or otherwise); comments are disabled, amount of likes are hidden.
Posting is done on an “infrequent” basis (every Tuesday & Saturday @ 11:11 EST).
This is done with the intention of:
(1) creating a space for the media to thrive on the basis of its value to you, versus its value to others;
(2) facilitating interior conversations- giving time to sit with the content, absorb it, form your own opinions about it, and integrate its wisdom;
(3) encouraging you to have in-person conversations about the content/its teachings with people present in your day-to-day, physical life that’s off-screen.
